Residency
A body trembles, and it moves us. Maybe if we learn not to stop it, but to lean against it discovering a new movement, then all bodies could tremble together. There won´t be anymore one way of doing so. We want to find ways of supporting each other through practice, through trying, through imitating, with each other, inviting others, embracing others, moving from our inner self, reaching the furthest we can, and back again. We want to live with the tremble, we want to be strong while trembling together.
Every day we experience tremors that we suffer as humans, as precarious workers, as beings who love other beings, as bodies that react to the cold of winter. The tremor appears in the very center of who we are and becomes evident in what we do, in our voice, in our hands, in the being out of our will.
In order to understand or test this tremor we propose a weekly everydayness. A space that always exists as long as we are there, regular and safe, a space where we can always come back. Every week, the day we decide, we will spend it putting the body and asking ourselves how to be together with all those who can and want to join us. A weekly, collective and performative practice so that questions can become actions, to move uncertainty, to make it tremble.
PUBLIC SESSIONS
To develop the project, nine sessions open to the general public are planned to tremble with us. To register for the sessions, write an email to coordinacion@centrohuarte.es
Session 1: walking | January 28, 11h Let's start walking. On January 28th begins our residence Trembling the centerss and we propose that you accompany us on the journey, walking from our home in Pamplona to the Huarte Center. We want to approach from our body, touring what surrounds us, to the body of the institution. See how it looks, how it is reflected in its surroundings, how it trembles, how it resonates and how to access so that we can all enter. A way to introduce ourselves to the place, to arrive walking the first tremor.
Session 2: limbs
Session 3: bum
Session 4: desire
Session 5: belly
Session 6: air
Session 7: throat
Session 8: seelisten
Session 9: explosion (party)
Bio
We are Eva Garrido del Saz and Amalia Ruiz-Larrea Fernández. Through different projects, we’ve spent quite some time highlighting other educational activities such as walking, getting lost, wasting time together, being queer, all of which meander between art and education and take shape in workshops, performance are pieces, writing processes and publications. We have collaborated with different institutions such as the Education Department of the Ca2m and this year we are developing our research between Matadero and the Contemporary Art Centre of Huarte.
